This place was delicious!! It was the perfect place to go before our concert at Dos Equis. The servers were all very nice. The inside is dark and seems nicer, but we sat outside which was pretty casual! I'd definitely come again!
This is a true gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience worthy of five stars. Upon entering, you're immediately struck by the very dark interior, which creates an intimate and mysterious ambiance. While the inside may be dim, the patio offers a stark contrast with its charming, relaxing, and inviting atmosphere. Perfect for an alfresco meal! We started with delicious chips, salsa, and queso. The chips are perfectly crisp, which made the flavorful salsas and creamy queso even more irresistible and enjoyable. I got the carnitas fajitas, which were nothing short of spectacular. Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, they are a must-try for any visit. Pairing these with one of their signature drinks is a treat. The margaritas and spritzes are both excellent, though the Batanza, while good, was my least favorite of the three drinks I tried. The food itself warrants the highest rating, but what truly elevates the Las Palmas experience is the amazing and friendly service. The staff's attentiveness and warmth ensured that we felt welcome and well-cared for, enhancing the overall dining experience.
I got a to go order of the fried shrimp tacos. Really good! Staff was so friendly and the restaurant was nice with plentiful seating.
Las Palmas is my new fav Dallas TexMex! It's cozy and upscale without any pretentiousness. I had a late Friday lunch in the bar area (which was a great choice for watching the eclectic patrons). Food was excellent, margaritas tasty, and the service was prompt. Music ambiance was old school traditional country, (out of towners will have fun with that). I'll def return and bring friends.
Food was great I got the shrimp taco salad so good Service was great we had a large party Ambiance was nice for the pre-graduation lunch. They also accommodated us after some communication errors were made regarding the party size. Very nice waitress and manager who got us all seated. I will be back
Went here for the first time after living in Dallas for over 6 months and I will say it did live up to the hype!! Make sure you get a reservation. Beautiful restaurant in the heart of the city with the greatest vibes. We went for dinner and got the wagyu fajitas. How can you EVER go back to regular beef fajitas after having these. Juicy, buttery and tender, I am still dreaming about them. We also got a guacamole appetizer that was delicious. Had some of my friends Birria tacos which our waitress recommended and they were incredible. Super flavorful. This restaurant has very large portion sizes which I love, so you can definitely split a few things with your friends. The margaritas here are a must too. Great service and loved the food options our waitress gave. Only downside is it's so dark in the whole restaurant, if you are hard of seeing you will feel blind here. Other than that it had a perfect moody ambiance that I loved.
This place hits, you gotta try the nachos. It's a must, all of their entire menu bangs. If you're in the area, please stop by. You won't be disappointed. Staff is great. Food is good. Drinks are the best.
I recently visited Las Palmas Tex Mex in downtown Dallas for a lunch with my sister to catch up, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers free valet parking, which made our arrival smooth. We were immediately seated upon arrival, setting a positive tone for the rest of our visit. Our server, Alejandro, provided outstanding service. His recommendations were spot-on, especially the white peach margarita, which was absolutely peachy ( pun intended). Alejandro's attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our lunch even more enjoyable. We started with the chips and salsa, and they did not disappoint. The chips were crispy and fresh, and the salsa had distinct flavors of tomato and spice that complemented each other perfectly. For my main course, I decided to try the Tacos Al Carbon, which included mesquite chicken, portobello shrimp, and the succulent Akaushi Wagyu tacos. Each taco had its own unique flavor and identity. The mesquite chicken was perfectly grilled, the portobello offered a wonderful earthy taste, the shrimp was fresh and flavorful, and the Akaushi Wagyu was incredibly tender and rich. The sides that accompanied the tacos were equally impressive. The rice was fluffy and light, providing a great contrast to the robust flavors of the tacos. The charro beans were cooked to perfection, adding a hearty and satisfying element to the meal. Overall, our experience at Las Palmas Tex Mex was fantastic. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this restaurant a must-visit in downtown Dallas. Highly recommended!
